Do your assessments guarantee me NDIS, psychiatric medication or other services automatically?

No. NDIS and other services have their own processes and criteria. If you are seeking medication, I suggest you book an appointment to see your doctor who can refer you on to a psychiatrist for assessment and intervention.

Can your diagnosis get me medication?

No. Psychologists are not doctors and do not prescribe medication.

Do you provide an 'official diagnosis'?

Yes.  I have general registration as a psychologist and have been trained in psychological and diagnostic assessment. I use DSM-5 criteria.  I have undertaken extensive, additional training though psychologist Amanda Moses in the diagnosis of adult autism and ADHD. I continue to undertake regular professional development in this area. I employ her resources in my clinical practice.

What do you use to diagnose ADHD and Autism?

I use a number of well-validated and evidence based quantitative and qualitative assessment tools and a clinical diagnostic interview.

Do you offer a Medicare rebate?

No.

Do you offer payment plans?

No.

How do I book an assessment?

Once you have read and agreed to the Terms and Conditions, you can book in online here.

Do you see men and gender diverse individuals?

Yes.

Do you see children?

No.

How long until I receive my report?

I aim to have your report ready within one week, but it may be a bit longer.

What are your qualifications?

Please see here.

Why are your prices so cheap?

I have designed my assessment process to be thorough, but also efficient and affordable. The quantitative and qualitative aspects of the process are completed by the client in their own time (2-3 hours). A diagnostic and clinical interview is also completed (1 hour). Report writing is then completed.

Is there something wrong with your assessment as the prices are cheap?

No. I personally believe most people who are curious about whether they meet the criteria for a diagnosis, should be able to access an assessment. Most of the people I assess have been aware their entire lives that they are 'different' and have suffered enormously with their identity and trying to fit into society. Most people can not afford thousands of dollars (the cost of a first car?) to seek a professional diagnosis - something they may have suspected themselves for a long time. â€‹

I personally feel this is unfair to the everyday person and think we can do better. I wanted to think more flexibly, openly and design better processes without compromising quality.

Undertaking an assessment for adult autism or ADHD shouldn't have to be so costly and delayed that it is almost inaccessible. This isn't the case for other mental health conditions. What is the cost for an individual not having access to an assessment?

Are you a clinical psychologist?

No, I have general registration as psychologist:

PSY0002119836.

Do you offer private psychology appointments or NDIS?

I no longer offer this.

Where are you based?

I am based in Sydney, Australia and offer a telehealth service.
